An independent guide to the seafood of Marbella.
Marbella Seafood is an editorial project devoted to the fish, the kitchens and the food culture of the Costa del Sol.
Marbella is known for its light. Less often is it known for its fish — yet the Costa del Sol has lived from the sea for far longer than it has welcomed visitors. This project exists to put that knowledge in one place: the species that belong to these waters, the seasons that govern them, and the kitchens, markets and traditions that bring them to the table.
We write for the traveller who wants to choose well, the resident who wants to go deeper, and the curious reader who simply wants to understand what is on the plate. Our promise is simple: clear, researched, independent writing — and photography that respects the place rather than dressing it up.
Marbella Seafood is independent. We do not accept payment for placement, and we do not publish sponsored reviews. When we name a restaurant, it is within a full editorial guide with context and practical detail. When we are unsure of a fact, we say so, or we leave it out.
The guide grows over time, species by species and kitchen by kitchen. If something here is out of date, we would rather know — see our contact page and our editorial policy.
